Forthcoming Megablitz game!

Following a visit to a suitable venue on Wednesday, I am planning to run a Megablitz game in Mansfield (near Junction 28 of the M1) on Saturday 19th February 2011.

The scenario has yet to be finalised (or written!) but I think we're due for another trip to the Eastern Front.

The game will use 20mm toys (lots of 'em!) and players will command divisions, corps or armies.

The cost of the day (including a buffet lunch) is likely to be in the region of £12.

At the present time I am seeking expressions of interest, with payment not being required until the end of 2010.

Please see also the Megablitz discussion group at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/megablitz/ which I will use to issue further communiques.

All photos in this post were taken during a 'live' game by Tom Mouat.

Somehow I only today realised that this system is your baby... I don't know how that happened....

I need to get gaming again, this slump has gone on too long.

Thanks Geordie - just some random photos from when we did the northern flank of Kursk a few years ago.

Arquinsiel - I'd hoped there was a clue in the name of the blog!

I just assumed it was a game you were particularly fond of and played lots of really.

Now that I know it makes me more interested in tracking down a copy and giving it a go sometime (And then bugging you with "helpful suggestions" :p).

Thanks for your commenst guys. I striongly suggest you join the Megablitz Yahoo group - many questions have already been asked and answered there. Feel free to put the word out about the planned game if you know potential players.

I'm still a Megablitz virgin Tim, but one of the advantages of your system is the compatibility of my 20mm modelling collection with the OOB in your game system.

:)

Once I have got my current naval bug out of my system I hope to get a few games under my belt

Sadly Mansfield is too long a trek at the current moment

Is there interest,I wonder, in postings on individual Megabltz units (like the one on 14 Panzer) and past games? Tim

Paul said...

Oh yes, post past games and Units! I am sure there is interest, well I am anyway.

Will do Paul. Just to keep you going, the top photo on this post is the German 71 ID and friends (the StuG Abt) at Kursk.
