Successor Phalanx

Hot off the painting table is this pike unit.  The figures are old 25mm Minifigs (cods PB32 Successor Phalangite) and were rescued - unpainted but dusty - from JR's attic last year.  The long and bendy pikes are a sod to keep straight but they have a certain charm.

They look good. Tell me about long bendy lead pikes!! Years ago I binned a squad of metal figs cos of the pikes...every time I got the things looking half straight..either they would get a everso slight knock or some would even droop overnight....GRRRR!

I rather thought they'd appeal to you!

Some of the longest pointy sticks in my collection. And well done for being the first to mention the new 'banner'.

Nice work Tim. Nothing wrong with the old Minifigs!

They are nice castings - I probably only spent 30 seconds per figure cleaning them up before painting.

I do like the Minifig look - there's a toy soldier appeal yet they work as wargames figures and paint up nicely.

I agree - and as a bonus they're quite easy to paint.
